Compliance Officer – Anti Bribery & Corruption Experience Required [Any Sector]

Our client, a leading logistic firm based near Heathrow, is recruiting a Compliance Officer to oversee all anti-bribery & corruption activities as well as code of conduct & ethics to ensure that as a business they are compliant and their employees are also complaint. In this interesting & varied role reporting to the Company Secretary, duties will include

• Advising Management as to the necessary nature and content of “Tone from the Top” compliance related internal and external communications

• Building relationships with, and promoting strong compliance culture amongst senior management, both at Headquarters and in the regions

• Enhancing general awareness of the importance of effective compliance for Group as a business in order to ensure the business benefits are understood and accepted by employees at all levels

• Drafting and implementing any periodic changes required to any compliance policy and responding to any concerns or suggestions raised by the Ethics and Compliance Committee

• Assisting in the development of constructive relationships with third parties in order to ensure that achieves and maintains a high level of compliance at all levels and in each link of its supply chain

• Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance, which will require the flexibility to plan and co-ordinate internal investigations (e.g. responding to whistleblower reports and/or other reports of suspected violations) and a taking appropriate action to address any necessary remedial actions identified during the course of any such investigation

• Instructing external consultations (including legal, forensic and audit professionals) in appropriate circumstances

• Acting when required as the compliance expert at Board and/or Ethics and Compliance Committee meetings

• Keeping abreast of regulatory and legal developments and industry initiatives and responding appropriately including where necessary changes to any relevant compliance policies

You should have at least a couple of years ABC compliance experience from any sector including writing/amending procedures with good communications skills both verbal & written.
