EXCLUSIVE: Non-Executive Director – Retail Broking Experience Required

UK & Ireland / Compliance (inc Conduct Risk/COBS) / Permanent

We have been retained by our Client, an International Financial Services Group, to search for a UK Non-Executive Director to join and advise the board of their UK Retail Broking Business.  Holding the CF2 Controlled Function under the current FCA Approved Persons Regime, the main duties are to:
• Attend all Board meetings & chair Board committees as may be agreed
• Provide constructive challenge and ask questions of Executive Directors and Management
• Approve business strategy, business plans, policies and procedures as tabled at Board meetings
• Ensure the integrity of financial information and that financial controls & systems of risk management are robust & defensible.
• Take responsibility for monitoring the performance of executive management, especially with regard to the progress made towards achieving the determined company strategy and objectives.
• Take responsibility for determining appropriate levels of remuneration of executive directors, and have a prime role in appointing (and where necessary removing) executive directors and in succession planning.
• As a member of the Board, support, encourage and where appropriate ‘mentor’ the Chief Executive and Executive Directors.
To be considered for this appointment you should have significant, senior experience within UK Retail Broking at Board Level, whether as an Executive and/or Non-Executive Director. Previous approval to hold the CF2 as an Approved Person is preferred but is not essential, however there should be no factors to your knowledge that would prevent you from being granted such approval.
