EXCLUSIVE: COMPLIANCE OFFICER – RETAIL BANKING EXPERIENCE (FLUENT ENGLISH AND FRENCH) REQUIRED

€60K - €70K + Benefits including generous holiday, Bonus & Equity Paris + Some Travel

Our Client, an exciting start-up Fintech Bank, seeks a Compliance Officer to oversee all Compliance policy, procedures and operations for the Bank. Reporting into the CRO of the Bank, responsibilities include;

  • Developing, implementing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Advise employees on how to service customers within EU and National rules and guidelines.
  • Developing and testing of compliance programmes and frameworks.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practices for varied areas across retail banking.
  •  Creating and implementing an annual monitoring plan and ensuring that all resting is carried out and any issues are recorded, rectified and escalated as appropriate.
  • Ensuring group policies are adapted to comply with European financial regulations and French consumer protection and other banking laws.
  • Other related compliance duties assigned by the Chief Risk Officer as appropriate.
  • Periodic compliance reporting to committees and the board as required.
  • Compliance training of new and existing staff on their regulatory obligations and bank policies and procedures.

You should be a graduate, fluent in English and French with at least 3 years compliance experience gained with a Retail Bank or Challenger/Neo Bank.  You must have broad regulatory compliance experience across all relevant EU Directives including detailed consumer protection knowledge as they apply to Retail Banking.

The office is in La Defense and role is office based although there will be some travel, mainly to Cyprus or New York. Also, there is an equity package with shares granted annually with a 3 year vesting period.  The Bank operates an unlimited holiday scheme so provided you produce the required output, you can take unlimited holiday (providing dates don't conflict with duties and are agreed by Management).
