UK & Ireland / Compliance (inc Conduct Risk/COBS) / Permanent


We are exclusively recruiting for our client, a small friendly firm providing financing solutions for property transactions. Having expanded rapidly in recent years they now seek to recruit their first AML/KYC Manager to hold the MLRO role and take total ownership of the financial crime and onboarding process. Duties will include; 


  • Solidifying the AML and Compliance framework of the company 

  • Ensuring all compliance manuals are kept up to date 

  • Ensure control checks carried out 

  • Ensure correct training programmes for the team in place and properly recorded  

  • Lead the onboarding process for borrowers (typically corporate structures) 

  • Undertake periodic reviews of existing investor and borrower base 

  • Ensure all procedures properly documented 

  • Utilise previous experience to streamline existing procedures where appropriate 

  • Assist on other Compliance & Regulatory aspects of the business including coordinating the fund regulatory requirements, returns & monitoring carried out by the external Compliance Consultants and in the medium term be trained to take it in house 


You should be a graduate with previous experience of KYC including corporate entities from a banking or other lending background, as well as broader knowledge of AML & FC requirements.  You must also have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both to fit in well to a small niche team and to confidently interact with HNW investors throughout the onboarding process. 


Great opportunity to build your own department and learn other aspects of non-AML Compliance. Firm is based a pleasant walk from Baker St/Euston or Bond Street/Oxford Circus stations and the role is Hybrid (3 days office, 2 WFH). NB Property experience not a prerequisite but an interest in the sector useful to fit into team environment.
