UK & Ireland / Compliance (inc Conduct Risk/COBS) / Permanent


Our client, an independent Care company, is recruiting a Compliance Manager to drive forward the quality of care in their Domiciliary care company by leading on quality governance activities, including the audit cycle; compliance to clinical and best practice standards and compliance to regulatory frameworks. Duties will include; 

  • To be responsible for scrutinising and monitoring our operational activity, with a view to ensuring compliance with the standards required by current legislation, regulation, guidance and practice standards. 
  • Monitor new and emerging guidance, and ensure these are reflected in the audit cycle. 
  • Oversee compliance monitoring and training in line with company policy and the change management process. 
  • Manage audit frameworks service reviews and ensure compliance issues are being reported in line with CQC regulatory requirements. 
  • Process and analyse data from audits and report on themes and trends and to create action plans from audits and other quality assurance activities, giving feedback to staff to ensure the quality and safety of care delivered. 
  • Work closely with the senior management team on policy reviews and review incidents and complaints and undertake investigations using Root Cause Analysis methodology and devise action plans as necessary. 
  • Provide expertise and advice on safeguarding issues and ensure internal audit’s measure and monitor compliance with company safeguarding policies and guidelines. 
  • Keep up to date with latest statutory safeguarding requirements and best practice, and communicating to staff and ensure safeguarding policies are up to date. 
  • Support Managers to ensure compliance with the CQC Regulatory Framework and ensure the auditing cycles are implemented and assist with analysis of data, reporting patterns and trends. 
  • Responsible for monitoring outcomes against inspection criteria and ensuring information is fed back to improve service delivery. 
  • Oversee General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance and ensure audits are in line with GDPR requirements. 


You should have experience either of quality assurance systems and/or internal auditing within the health and social care field including similar private care companies and/or the NHS. You should also have knowledge of Care Quality Commission Regulations and some awareness of both safeguarding legislation and GDPR requirements. Great opportunity to potentially utilise your Auditing or QA experience and become an all-round Compliance Officer in this expanding field.
